I'm lovin' these new series of historic shows: Bridgerton 🇬🇧🎶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, 'Vikings' 🏞️⚔️🌍, 'Vikings: Vahalla' 🇸🇪🇩🇰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 (which I am saddened it's only lasting 3 seasons 😭🥲😥), and 'The Last Kingdom 🏰📜🐎'. Lots of these feature either notable figures throughout their respective histories, and for that these will forever be some of my favorite historical shows ✨☺️🩷. Definitely a must-see for these, if anyone _hasn't_ watched them 📋 ✅.

I’m not really sure if this counts but I just found out about state tartans and tartan history in general. I love the idea of wearing my state’s official tartan. It’s like saying that my home is my “clan”.

Rocky I truly understand the evolution of art that you are speaking of how one period of art is actually the foundation for the next period of art take for instance the American Beauty Tartan that you designed that is truly a piece of tartan that has been built on what I really call the classic American Tartan the Rob Roy the traditional Rob Roy the red and black

To add to my previous comment, if the total length of the tie will result in the back being longer than the front when the front if just right, tie a larger know. As an example if you tied a half Windsor, retie a full Windsor.

I'm as Scottish as you can get and my clan has its own tartans but I've never worn any of them because I don't like the colours. I've always chosen my kilts based on what I liked the look and feel of the most. However, it's a good idea to do a little research before you decide because you could accidentally wear the tartan of a football team that you don't like or a political party that you don't agree with or a military unit that might find it disrespectful etc.

The most interesting and beautiful tartan I've seen is your Nordic Heritage. Keep down that road!

if you want to wear smth like a sward, wear an umbrella chances are higher for it to come in handy.

Native American tartans, I'm 1/2 Native American 1/2 Scottish

Because my family line is so well preserved on my fathers side, I have been able to date our family all the way back to the Silures of Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Just for myself I prefer the simpler, higher contrast tartans.

I'm paraphrasing but Sean Connery's response to a kilt lifter was a gentle swat and "it's too early for that now ".

I picture the Isle of Ska tartan to be mostly black and white...

The added complexity allows more meaning with colors, thread count, etc. That aspect I certainly like.

They both appeal to me, and even on “simpler” tartans, the color palettes give some diversity. My first focus was getting kilts for families I’m descended from, but if they become available in marled yarn version, I’d get one of it looked great to me. I do have App folklore & Nordic Heritage + plan to buy the renewed Lunar - great examples.

Great idea, fellas! I hope to snag a few kilts in these tartan when available.

I'm very excited about a Grand Canyon tartan. I'm imagining reddish-orangey-tans and browns with a brilliant blue or turquoise for the grand river and perhaps some green for the local flora. The emphasis should be on the rocky tones with the blue/green as an accent, but a bit more prominent than a tiny 4 or 6 thread stripe. Don't disappoint! (No pressure.) 🤞😁

BZ! But it troubles me that this is the first mention of the 250th I’ve seen. I was around for the Bicentennial, it was a huge deal.
